Last Month,First days...

10 Days of Zulhajjah..!

Most Muslims very well know the blessings of the nights of Ramadan, especially the last ten nights. However, not everyone knows that the first ten days of the last month of the Islamic month, ZulHajjah, are equally packed with blessings.

Hajj is performed in this month & The second Muslim festival Eid ul Adha falls on the 10th of ZulHajjah.
An animal sacrifice, in memory of the sacrifice of Prophet Ibrahim (as) is offered on 10th ZulHajjah.

The first ten days of ZulHajjah are extremely sacred and good deeds are most beloved to Allah in these ten days.
Perform good deeds (Fasting, charity, voluntary prayers, zikr, etc) as much as possible.
Observe the fast of 9th ZulHajjah, as this leads to expiation of sins of the preceding year and the year to follow.
The Prophet (pbuh)  said: “There are no days on which good deeds are greater or more beloved to Allaah than on these ten days, so recite much Tahleel (saying Laa ilaaha ill-Allaah), Takbeer (saying Allaahu akbar) and Tahmeed (saying al-hamdu Lillaah)." (Ahmad -Saheeh)
The Prophet (pbuh),  used to fast on the ninth day of Dhu’l-Hijjah and he said: "Fasting the Day of 'Arafah (ninth Zhul-hijjah) is an expiation for (all the sins of) the previous year and an expiation for (all the sins of) the coming year." (Muslim)
Recite the masnoon dua when sighting the moon of ZulHajjah.
Recite the Takbiraat as much as possible from the 1st ZulHajjah to the 13th of ZulHajjah.
After sighting the moon of ZulHajjah, do not cut or trim your hair and nails until you have offered the sacrifice.

She would have been 63 this year if her glorious life was not put to an abrupt end. We lost her nine years ago.
Benazir Bhutto was born on June 21, 1953, at Karachi's Pinto Hospital,  the eldest child of former premier Zulfikar Ali Bhutto. She inherited leadership of the PPP after a military coup overthrew her father's government and won election in 1988, becoming the first female prime minister of a Muslim nation. In 2007, she returned to Pakistan after an extended exile, but, tragically, was killed in a suicide attack.

Her father, Zulfikar, went on to serve as Pakistan's prime minister in the 1970s. Benazir was educated at Harvard University and the University of Oxford, also serving as the first Asian woman to preside over the Oxford Union.

She was the eldest of the four siblings. Her father was the former prime minister of Pakistan. As such, since young, she was exposed to political ideas and policies.

In 1976, she became the first Asian woman to  elected as the President  Oxford Union.
She was exposed to  thoughts and beliefs since a young age.

She married Asif Ali Zardari on December 18, 1987. The couple was blessed with two daughters and a son.
Popularly known as the Iron Lady of Pakistan, Benazir Bhutto opened the doors of politics for women in Pakistan. Not only did she become the first woman to head a major political party, but she went on to become the first and till date, the only female Prime Minister of Pakistan. She served this powerful position twice in her lifetime.

She married Asif Ali Zardari on December 18, 1987. The couple was blessed with two daughters and a son.

She was an intelligent woman, wise and experienced politician and the most prominent political figure of the world.

She was the darling of the media. All eyes and ears were drawn towards her when she attended events.

Most of her contemporaries and rivals respectfully addressed her as ‘B.B’.
The assassination of Benazir Bhutto took place on 27 December 2007 in Rawalpindi, Pakistan. Shots were fired at her after a political rally at Liaquat National Bagh, and a suicide bomb was detonated immediately following the shooting. She was declared dead at 18:16 local time (13:16 UTC), at Rawalpindi General Hospital.

Benazir’s murder shook the world and even one of her bitterest foes, Nawaz Sharif, couldn’t help hold back tears.
The president, Pervez Musharraf announced a three day national morning for. On December 28, 2007, she was buried amid most grief, shock and anger at Ghari Khuda Bakhsh in Larkana next to her father Z.A Bhutto in her family mausoleum.
